Father Bogie's Installation Mass

On September 15, 2007, Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli installed Father Boguslaw Kobus as pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Franklin, New Jersey. Father Kobus was appointed as pastor of Immaculate Conception by the bishop, effective July 11, the feast of St. Benedict.
Concelebrating the Mass were Rev. Msgr. Kieran McHugh, Rev. Marek Biegun, Rev. William Collins, Rev. Peter McHugh, Rev. Msgr. Paul Knauer, Rev. Msgr. James O'Rorke, Rev. Stefan Las, and Rev. Andraej Puchalski.

Artist/composer Vern P. Nelson created a special adaptation of his setting of Psalm 51 for Fr. Bogie. He wrote a special four voice rendition for our choir as well as a special adaptation of the solo refrain.

The Knights of Columbus Marguette Council 588 Dominick A Calabrese Assembly Color Corps participated in the Mass celebration and the Columbiettes assisted with the Reception in the Lyceum.

Fr. Kobus is the eighteenth priest to serve at Immaculate Conception Parish following: Rev. A.M. Kammer (1881), Rev. Joseph Hill (1883), Rev. Joseph Cunneely (1889), Rev. John Boylan (1894), Rev. Daniel Brady (1903), Rev. Michael McGuinness (1906), Rev. William Dunn (1912), Rev. Thomas Hampton (1916), Rev. Charles Shaw (1919), Rev Michael Corr (1928), Rev. John Bennett (1933), Rev. Msgr. Henry Zolzer (1945), Rev John White (1963), Rev. Bernard Feeney (1968), Rev. Charles Powers (1977), Rev. John Klein (1985), and Rev. Martin Glynn (1995).
As a gift from the Pairsh, Fr. Bogie was presented with a Liturgical Cope and Church Coverlet by Church Trustees, Andrew McKenzie and Cynthia Collins, during the reception in the Lyceum.
